Pushed for Time….

Hey all,

I’ll have to keep this one short and sweet as at the time of writing I’m currently packing for our holiday.

I started the week off with a very late race on Gran Turismo 7, the lobby was full of A+ drivers which made it a very fast race. I tried my best but I was only really able to keep pace on the soft tyres, unfortunately, the mediums and hards were also mandatory and I had to make an extra stop than I wanted so as to not lose too much time, I ended the race P10 after the 3hrs at Fuji in GT3’s.

The next day saw me race on ACC in Thea’s new series Banana Boffins, Round 1 was at Watkins Glen, this was an arrive and drive for me as I didn’t have time to practice, I qualified poorly so I was down in the mid-pack but managed to avoid the T1 drama and was in the top 10 after the first lap. The car was quick but very loos at high speeds and unfortunately, a lost it big time in the fast esses and broke my car. Having a twitchy car meant I had a few more incidents and I don’t think I drove with less than 20s of damage at any point in the race. I ended up finishing the race outside the top 15 which meant no points, it was a shame as there was a top 10 in it.

The final race of the week was the RPM series and this was at Daytona this week, again I qualified poorly but managed to avoid any major incidents, once I settled into the groove the car was flying and I managed to claw a lot of places back, eventually finishing P5 in the Bronze class which is my best result to date.

And finally, onto the last piece of business for this week, I needed to put some qualifying laps in for a worldwide Mazda mx5 cup series, Round 1 is at Okayama and quali was 4 laps, I have averaged low 1:46’s and we will find out which split I will be in later in the week.
